endangered Species?

A local news station reported a few days ago that out of the world's population, only 4% of people were redheads (real ones).Scientists predict that over time redheads will become extinct, due to the fact that most people carry dominant genes and not the recessive (melanocortin 1 receptor)
recessive gene that redheads carry.
So, does this mean I am an endangered species? Will they carry me off to some Lab and observe me and force me to mate with redheaded men in order to perserve the redheaded population?? I hope not and doubt it. There should continue to be ample Scots and Welsh redheads shacking up with their distant redhead relatives to keep us redheads well populated.
But just in case that doesn't happen: Save the redhead. Save the World!
