Yes, I have neglected this blog.
Last Friday, Will and Krista came to Overland Park, so Krista could do some Henna for some Olathe ladies. Afterwards, Krista, Will, and I had pizza at my place. Krista and Will are wanting to open a Pizza Shoppe franchise in Topeka. The pizza was good, but the crust was too thin.
After the eating, Krista did Henna on the palms of my hands. My previous experience with Henna had left me disappointed. The Henna had always turned out too light. This time I left it on overnight. Krista and Will slept over on my hide-away bed/couch.
The next day, the Henna looked great. Nice and dark. Krista drove back here and we went to a Halloween dance/party at a Warehouse. It was a weird atmosphere. The weirdest thing of all is that a guy that is one of facebook friends, totally ignored me.
Krista and I left after about an hour and a half.
Krista went home and as I got ready for bed, the palms of my hands started to itch so bad that I wanted to rip the skin off my hands.
Don't worry, I didn't do it.
I could barely sleep. I tried everything to stop the itching. Calamine lotion, Hydro-cortisone creme, Benadryl creme, Aloe vera gel. Nothing helped.
The only relief I got was putting my hands in very cold water. Heat only made it worse. So, I would sleep with my hands outside the blankets. How annoying.
On Monday-I went to my Doctor's office's Urgent Care/After hour clinic.
I was prescribed some Steroid creme.
It worked!
I am probably allergic to Eucalyptus oil, which was in the Henna oil. I don't know 100%.
But now I have lots of cremes..if anyone has itching problems. You know, just in case.
Waree thinks I passed the itching on to her, as I have touched things around the house and her hands started to itch on Thursday. I don't see how this could be, since I had the Henna on for a week and it's pretty well dyed into my skin.
Now-on to Halloween.
I went to another Single's ward's Halloween Dance/party. They had a Mystery game too. You could win $250 if you figured out the mystery.
Here were the masterminds/authors: Gaston Leroux, Jim Henson, JK Rowling, JRR Tolkien, Robert Louis Stevenson.
Here are the suspects: Gandolf, Eowyn, Aragon, Legolas, Phantom of the Opera, The Labyrinth, The Goblin King, Harry Potter, Hermonie, Ron Weasley, Jack Sparrow, Will Turner, and Elizabeth Swan.
Here are the weapons used by the suspects to steal the money: Water, wood, glass and metal.
Here are the locations: A building, ocean, island, cave and the mountains.
Here are the clues: It is not water, It is not the cave, it is not the Phantom, the suspect has to have access to gold coins. There is a crystal ball, the suspect has to wield some sort of sword, and the suspect loves music, but can't sing.
See what you think.
To be continued...
